Double Chocolate Brownie Batter Dessert Hummus [vegan + gluten-free]

2 days ago 6

If you’ve ever wanted to eat brownie batter straight from the bowl but wished it came with better ingredients, this Double Chocolate Brownie Batter Hummus is about to become your new favorite recipe. Rich, fudgy, and intensely chocolatey, this dessert hummus delivers serious brownie flavor in a creamy, plant-based dip that doubles as a satisfying snack.

Made with chickpeas, dark cocoa powder, and chocolate almond butter, this healthier dessert option brings deep chocolate flavor while adding fiber and plant-based nutrients. It’s smooth, decadent, and surprisingly filling, making it perfect for when chocolate cravings hit but you still want something balanced.

This is the kind of recipe that feels indulgent enough for dessert yet practical enough for everyday snacking.

Why Brownie Batter Makes the Perfect Dessert Hummus

The naturally creamy texture of blended chickpeas mimics the thickness of brownie batter incredibly well. When paired with cocoa powder and a touch of sweetness, the result is a silky, scoopable dip that tastes remarkably close to the real thing.

Coconut oil enhances the richness and helps create that fudgy mouthfeel, while chocolate almond butter adds depth and a subtle nutty undertone that makes the flavor taste bakery-level good.

Rich Chocolate Flavor Without the Sugar Crash

Traditional brownie batter relies heavily on sugar and butter, but this version uses NuNaturals sweetener blend for balanced sweetness while keeping things lighter. The combination of fiber, healthy fats, and plant-based protein helps slow digestion, meaning you get long-lasting satisfaction instead of a quick spike and crash.

It’s a smart way to enjoy chocolate daily!

  13. What substitution would be best for those with nut allergies

    • I would sub the milk for another dairy-free milk (maybe oat?) and sub the almond butter for sunbutter or another seed butter…maybe add more cocoa too!
